Getting There
The drive from Toronto
Elora is approximately 130 kilometres northwest of Toronto. On a clear day, the drive takes about an hour and fifteen minutes via Highway 401 West to Highway 6 North. On a Friday evening or holiday weekend, add 30 minutes for GTA traffic.

By Car from Toronto
Take the 401 West to Highway 6 North (exit at Guelph). Follow Highway 6 through Guelph, then continue north on Wellington Road 7 to Elora. The last 20 minutes through Wellington County farmland is genuinely lovely — roll down the windows.

From Pearson Airport
If you are flying in, the drive from Toronto Pearson International Airport is about 80 minutes. Take Highway 401 West to Highway 6 North. A rental car is the most practical option, as Elora has no public transit connections from the airport.

Parking in the Village
Elora is a small village with limited parking, especially on summer weekends. Your hosts may provide parking details specific to the wedding venue. Street parking is free but can fill up. The main public lot is near the Elora Gorge Conservation Area. If you are staying in the village, you can walk to most things.

Elora's gorge creates a microclimate that can be noticeably cooler than surrounding areas, especially in the evening. Bring a wrap, jacket, or shawl even in summer. Autumn evenings get cold quickly.

Village streets are charming but uneven — cobblestones, limestone, and gravel paths are common. Bring comfortable shoes for exploring and save the heels for the ceremony. If the venue involves outdoor walking, flats are wise.

The gorge and river mean mosquitoes in June and July. If you are attending an outdoor ceremony or spending time near the water, bring insect repellent. By August, the worst of it has passed.
