Welcome to Elora Weddings. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of https://eloraweddings.com (the "Site") and all associated services, including our couple portal, vendor portal, wedding guest pages, and get-quotes system (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Elora Weddings is operated by Elora Weddings ("we," "us," or "our"), a wedding vendor directory serving couples planning their wedding in Elora, Ontario, Canada.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting the Site, creating an account, submitting a vendor listing, or using any of our Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

Elora Weddings is a free online wedding vendor directory featuring businesses and professionals serving the Elora, Ontario area. Our Services include:

• Vendor Directory: A browsable listing of wedding vendors across multiple categories
• Couple Portal (my.eloraweddings.com): A free account space where couples can save vendors, manage their wedding profile, and send quote requests
• Vendor Portal (portal.eloraweddings.com): A free account space where vendors can manage their directory listing, photos, and business information
• Get Quotes: A system that allows couples to send inquiry messages to multiple vendors at once
• Wedding Guest Pages: Optional pages that couples can create and share with their guests, featuring event details, vendor recommendations, and travel information

All core Services are currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or premium tiers in the future, with advance notice.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

Accounts on our couple portal and vendor portal are created using a magic link sent to your email address — no password required. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account.

Account Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering or updating your profile
• Keep your account information up to date
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Not share your account access with others or use another person's account

Account Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.

4. Vendor Listings

Free Listings

Vendor listings on the Site are provided free of charge. Any business providing wedding-related services in the Elora area may apply for a listing. We review all submissions and reserve the right to approve, decline, or remove listings at our sole discretion.

Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors who maintain listings on the Site agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information about their business, services, and pricing
• Promptly update their listing if their business information changes
• Only submit photos and content that they own or have the right to display
• Respond to couple inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain a current business license or registration as required by applicable law

Our Rights Regarding Listings

We reserve the right to edit, modify, or remove any vendor listing at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to: inaccurate information, complaints from couples, business closure, or conduct that reflects poorly on the directory. We will make reasonable efforts to notify vendors of significant changes to their listings.

5. Wedding Guest Pages

Couples may create wedding guest pages to share event details, itineraries, and recommendations with their guests. By creating a wedding guest page, you agree to the following:

• Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all content you publish on your guest page, including event details, photos, and linked vendor recommendations. Do not publish private personal information about guests without their consent.
• PIN Privacy: Guest pages may be protected with a 4-digit PIN. This PIN provides basic access control but is not a guarantee of privacy or security. We recommend not including highly sensitive personal information (such as financial details or medical information) on guest pages.
• Removal: We reserve the right to remove guest pages that contain unlawful content, violate third-party rights, or otherwise breach these Terms. Couples may also delete their own guest pages at any time.
• Expiration: We may retire or archive guest pages some time after the wedding date has passed. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before doing so.

6. Get Quotes System

Our get-quotes feature allows couples to send a single inquiry to multiple vendors simultaneously. By using this feature, you understand and agree that:

• We are facilitating an introduction between you and vendors — we are not a party to any contract, booking, or transaction that may result
• We are not responsible for vendor response times, pricing accuracy, availability, or the quality of services provided
• Vendors receive your contact information only when you send them a quote request
• We cannot guarantee that all vendors will respond or that their quoted prices will be honoured
• Any agreements made between couples and vendors are solely between those parties

7. User Content and Submissions

Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Site, including photos, descriptions, and business information ("User Content").

License to Display

By submitting User Content to the Site, you grant Elora Weddings a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the Site and in promotional materials (such as social media posts featuring the directory) for the purpose of operating and promoting the Services. This licence continues until you remove your content or close your account.

Content Standards

You represent and warrant that all User Content you submit:

• Is accurate and not misleading
• Does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Does not contain viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Does not violate any applicable law or regulation
• Is not defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or harassing

8. Prohibited Conduct

When using the Site and Services, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Impersonate another person or business
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest content from the Site without our permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site or its servers
• Use the Site to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages
• Post or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates the rights of others
• Use the Services for any purpose other than planning or promoting genuine weddings and wedding-related services in the Elora area

9. Intellectual Property

The design, layout, branding, editorial content, and code of the Site are owned by Elora Weddings and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The "Elora Weddings" name and branding are our property.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our site design, editorial content, or branding without our prior written permission. Linking to the Site from your own website is permitted and encouraged.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

We do not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any vendor listed on the Site. A listing on Elora Weddings is not a certification or endorsement of a vendor's quality, reliability, or suitability for your event. We strongly encourage couples to conduct their own due diligence — read reviews, request references, view portfolios, and meet with vendors before booking.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no warranties about the accuracy or completeness of vendor information, as listings are provided and maintained by the vendors themselves.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Elora Weddings and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of or inability to use the Site or Services
• Any transaction or interaction between you and a listed vendor
• Any vendor's failure to perform, cancellation, or substandard service
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your content
• Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in vendor listings

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of CAD $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which in most cases will be zero, as our Services are free).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Elora Weddings and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Site or Services; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to vendor websites and other third-party sites. These links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over the content, privacy practices, or conduct of third-party sites and are not responsible for them. Visiting a linked vendor website is at your own risk.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Wellington County, Ontario.

15. Changes to These Terms
